You may be wondering why I chose a lighthouse picture for my blog. Like many people, I am fascinated by lighthouses and visit every one I can, learning the history of the building and its keepers. But the reason I relate my blog to the lighthouse is the visual it provides showing how the light directs the path of ships at sea. Heeding the lighthouse will keep a ship from danger and keep it on the safe path. In the same way, the Bible provides a “lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” By paying attention to what it says, we can steer clear of potential dangers and stay safe. But if we don’t see the light or don’t pay attention to it, we can get into trouble. I, for one, need all the light I can get!
